Mr. JUSTIN McIntosh

It brings me great joy to serve as principal of Schneider Elementary School!

Most recently, I served as assistant principal of Goodwin Elementary School. Prior to joining School District 129, I enjoyed a fulfilling teaching career in Naperville 203 and Millwood Public Schools in Oklahoma City. During this time, I taught 1st, 3rd, and 4th grade, and also served as an instructional coach specializing in K-5 data, literacy, and assessment.

Originally from southeast Kentucky, I received by bachelor's degree from Eastern Kentucky University. After college, I moved and taught in Oklahoma City, which sparked a passion for educational equity and advocacy. I completed my master's in educational leadership and administration from George Washington University.

I currently live in Yorkville with my wife, our niece, and our dog, Otis. We enjoy finding new trails, kayaking, and overly complicated board games and escape rooms!

I am grateful and excited for the opportunity to continue to learn and grow alongside the amazing staff, students, and families at Schneider Elementary School. It’s always a great day to be a Bulldog!

I am honored to be part of the Schneider Elementary School community as your assistant principal.

Bringing over two decades of experience in education, I have served in various roles that have shaped my leadership journey. Before stepping into the role of assistant principal at Schneider, I held positions in building leadership at Hill Elementary School, Marseilles Elementary School, and Freeman Elementary School. I also gained valuable administrative experience at Grande Reserve Elementary in Yorkville School District 115.

My educational journey began at Yorkville Intermediate School, where I taught for nine years, specializing in 6th-grade language arts and 5th-grade instruction. I hold a Bachelor of Science in education from Northern Illinois University, complemented by a Master of Arts in teaching and leadership from St. Xavier University, and a Master of Arts in education and leadership from Benedictine University.

I am eagerly looking forward to collaborating with each of you for a successful and fulfilling academic year ahead!
